It is both a privilege and responsibility to be able to lead
a group of God's people in Worship. It can be challenging as well as very rewarding.
Here at Potter Street we are blessed with a range of talented musicians to enable a good mix
of worship styles to accompany wonderful songs composed over the centuries.
Our leader, Sheila Carroll, and Pianist extraordinaire took over a year later when the original leader
moved on. Helen Thompson, Pat Njagi and Rachel Bellworthy play very competent flute.
The Worship Group is directly involved in most of the services at Potter Street throughout the year.
There has been a Worship Group at
Potter Street for over 20 years and in all over 40
different musicians have been a part of the group over this period.
One of the current group has been ever present, Clive Mountain who plays the Clarinet and Saxophone
very well, although he wouldn't admit it.
Another long serving member and next in the role of service is Alison Taylor,
who is also our minister, guitarist and worship leader.
Andy Bellworthy plays the guitar and leads worship also.
Richard Bellworthy is one of our pianists who began as our percussionist and is also competent
on the trumpet.
Cath Younger boosts the vocal part of worship leading.
Andy Kitson adds a bass guitar to the mix. And most recently Dan Ricketts has added to the guitarists.
