Profile of Our Minister
Rev. Alison Taylor; Minister at Potter Street Baptist Church and part of the ecumenical team at Church Langley Church.
I have been: a civil servant (4 weeks); fork lift driver (1 year) Gynaecological Nurse at PAH for 11 years and a district nurse before joining London Bible College in 1998 to get my theology degree.
I returned to PSBC to minister to my church family in 2001. As well as preaching and teaching, I have taken great encouragement in the community links that are being forged through coffee mornings, lunch club and many other activities. We have in excess of 100 members ranging from early 20s to those in their 90s. Our church based activities cater for all ages from newborns and their parents to those in their 90s, and all ages in between.
I am in regular contact with various Harlow primary schools taking Christian based assemblies and enjoy teaching more specific Christian based subjects in the class room if I am invited.
I am part of the Ecumenical team working at Church Langley Church with Rev. Tim Voltzenlogel (Anglican) and Rev. Andrew Hollins (Methodist), I feel we all have something to add to the very unique flavour that is Church Langley Church
I also am part of Hospital Chaplaincy team at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow, where I feel my previous training and experience help me to minister comfortably.
